The following statistic is alarming – the leading causes of death in women are lung, breast and colorectal cancer according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Most if not all of these deaths would not have occurred had the women sought preventive screening for early detection.

What is well-woman care?
Well-woman care includes a general health history, a sexual health history, a review of medications, contraceptive counseling, menopause counseling, a physical exam and, if needed, laboratory or other testing.
